We all went to school and learned about how evil slave owners were and how they beat the tar out of their slaves. We know that slaves are black and slave owners are white. That is what we know.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The US has been trying to create a society that doesn't see color... let me correct that, they want you to believe they are creating a society that doesn't see color. I think we are all aware of "diversity" practices and "affirmative action," I should not have to get into that. What I want to say here is that these things &lt;b&gt;do not&lt;/b&gt; create a colorless society, they create a society where some feel more privileged than others. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am a conservative (relatively), white, male, straight, Christian. Because I am not a liberal, black, female, gay agnostic, I don't have a say. What I have to say is unimportant. Everything out of my mouth is old-school and can't be applied in the new world we live in today. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Instead we live in a world where a white student who works hard to go to an awesome, private school and receives a 4.0 GPA is passed over so a school can become more diversified.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Instead there are scholarships for African Americans only, but if there was a scholarship for white Americans only, it would be racist.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Discrimination has effected more than those who are black. It has happened to all immigrants, including those of white skin. Now white Americans can't find jobs because of affirmative action. Though, they may be more qualified for the job position, the company needs to fill it with a minority, who may not be as qualified.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm sick of racism. And I'm sick of the so-called intellectual minorities who still believe they need to stick it to the white man for actions that he, himself, is not guilty of.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is a clip from The Boondocks TV show. It depicts Martin Luther King Jr. giving a speech in modern times. I think that his words are extremely appropriate and I want to say that they apply to more than just African Americans. They apply to any American who believes they are being put down by the man (yes these words are even for me).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If we want to realize a colorless society that does not look at race, that isn't always trying to stick it to the whites, that actually wants actual equality, we need to reevaluate ourselves and each of us take steps in that direction. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years,and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, beelected, as follows:&lt;/i&gt; &lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;blockquote class="tr_bq"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof maydirect, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators andRepresentatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but noSenator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profitunder the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.&lt;/i&gt; &lt;/blockquote&gt;Honestly, this doesn't make a lot of sense to me. It seems that originally there were positions for Electors who voted on the president, much different from today where everyone gets to vote. I prefer the new way. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote class="tr_bq"&gt;&lt;i&gt;The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot fortwo Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the sameState with themselves. And they shall make a List of all the Persons votedfor, and of the Number of Votes for each; which List they shall sign andcertify, and transmit sealed to the Seat of the Government of the UnitedStates, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senateshall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open allthe Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. I know that sounds very general, but what I'm talking about is memes, fan fiction, fan art... now these things are not necessarily being targeted by these two bills, but why shouldn't they?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Stop Online Piracy Act and the Protect Intellectual Property Act have set their sights on online piracy. Music, television, movies, they are all concerned about effect the internet has on their sales. This is understandable. A business is in business to make money, but when it comes to taking an idea and making it LOL-worthy, that is what makes the internet a great place to hang out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The bills essentially monitor every single site to ensure that they are not pirating media. What this means is that every single website will be under scrutiny over their content. Now this isn't a horrible thing; there are a lot of sites that should be scrutinized anyways. But where is the line here? What is pirated? If someone takes a copyrighted image and adds a few things to make people laugh, does that fall under piracy or not?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It may be that the only sites that will be terribly affected will be those with shopping carts, but I know that a lot of youtubers have trouble keeping accounts due to the content they create. For instance, a youtuber I like known as CardGames makes dubbed videos of YuGiOh. These videos may fall under violation of these acts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fanfiction writers create stories using characters they didn't create from shows they didn't help make and in essence promote themselves from it. It may not be "profitable" but they are getting something from the work they put in. Fan artists take character from same TV shows and movies and draw them however they want. Those images, characters, they belong to someone, right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So many sites from creative geniuses will be blacked out because of this right? Honestly, I don't know. I don't see why companies shouldn't stop with SOPA and PIPA. It will come down to a point where we American's can't keep the freedoms of speech that we have. It has been said that these bills include sections that give Americans about the same amount of internet access as the Chinese... It's also said that those that make a significant income online may have a harder time making ends meet. But what I fear the most is the blatant attack on our freedoms.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The internet is our home. We post there and share ideas. We've formed communities with like minded people across the globe. I'm opening up the discussion here. I don't know everything about this bill. I was trying to read up on it, but surprisingly it is hard to pinpoint what exactly is going on. I'm worried. I like the internet as it is. Sure it has its problems but the real world has bigger issues. Let's save this one for later. I believe that anyone can understand this without me having to interpret it. Thank you for reading. They each get one vote.&lt;i&gt; &lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote class="tr_bq"&gt;   &lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt; Immediately after they shall be assembled in Consequence of the first Election, they shall be divided as equally as may be into three Classes. The Seats of the Senators of the first Class shall be vacated at the Expiration of the second Year, of the second Class at the Expiration of the fourth Year, and the third Class at the Expiration of the sixth Year, so that one third may be chosen every second Year; and if Vacancies happen by Resignation, or otherwise, during the Recess of the Legislature of any State, the Executive thereof may make temporary Appointments until the next Meeting of the Legislature, which shall then fill such Vacancies.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;All Senators are divided into three classes, which switch out every two years until the six years are up. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative; and until such enumeration shall be made, the State of New Hampshire shall be entitled to chuse three, Massachusetts eight, Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations one, Connecticut five, New-York six, New Jersey four, Pennsylvania eight, Delaware one, Maryland six, Virginia ten, North Carolina five, South Carolina five, and Georgia three.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;This talks about the number of representatives each state is allowed. This is determined by the population of the state. For every 30,000 citizens, 1 representative is allotted. Senators  serve staggered six-year terms.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;House of Representatives = Each state receives representation in the House in proportion to its population but is entitled to at least one representative. The total number of voting representatives is fixed by law at 435. Each representative serves for a two-year term. The Speaker of the House, traditionally the leader of the majority party, is the presiding officer of the chamber, elected by the members of the House.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know is short, but I want to keep these short and sweet. The constitution of the US is a very powerful document; many of us believe this but not many of us have actually read the entire thing. What I plan to do is to post bits of it on here to inform everyone as well as add what I believe what each section means. I welcome all commentary and I hope that we can have a good discussion as elections are coming. I think we need to be more informed of our rights, as government tries to systematically take them away.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What I mean is that politicians know that the majority haven't read or even care about the constitution. I hope to change that with this blog. Think I'm wrong? Prove it to me!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote class="tr_bq"&gt;&lt;i&gt;We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;This is rather self explanatory, I believe. The authors here were making the statement that the nation called the United States of America is now born.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They said that it was imperative that this happen in order to form a perfect union,establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to all Americans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Forming a perfect union; creating unity amongst the states. Strengthening the nation through unity and improve it economically, morally, socially, and in terms of justice.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Establish justice; creating a justice system, forming laws, providing judges, providing a way for people to seek justice and to plead their cases.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Insure domestic tranquility; create defense against foreign countries that may wish to invade or have hostile intentions towards the US. This also applies to provide common defense.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Promote the general welfare; create a strong nation that provides a means for people to pursue happiness. Fair wages and good supply of medicine.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Secure the blessings of liberty to all Americans; create a free country where its citizens are able to pursue happiness. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people   who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;-- Mario Savio, FSM&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;Though the time that these immortal words were spoken, Mario Savio was speaking about the Free Speech Movement. But when I read these words, when I hear these words, whether I'm listening to Linkin Park's song Wretches and Kings, or I'm watching the live video of Mario Savio or I'm actually reading the words on my computer, I realize that it has many more applications in our world and our time.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;For those who are occupying Wall Street, I salute you. Those in the Tea Party, I salute you. Those musicians and writers who are writing America's desperation and indignation and speaking them and singing them, I salute you. Because you are the ones who are making change in America, not Obama, not Republicans or Democrats, Americans! We see it everywhere. Those of us in the real middle class don't see prosperity like those above us. We receive raises that only cover inflation, if we see them at all. Some of us, for our hard work, see pay cuts while those above us get bonuses. Some of us lose our jobs and have to live off the government, not because we want to, but because the jobs that used to be here in America are now over in India and China.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;Before I continue I want to be perfectly clear: there are individuals living off the government who have no desire to work and also there are rich men out there that do deserve the wealth they have acquired, but there are plenty of us who are hard-working, who do the jobs that others don't want, who listen to customers bitch and moan, there are many of us and many of us have to make hard decisions everyday: do I feed my family or do I pay the mortgage?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;It is time for all of us, as one, to stand up! Change is Now! Those who are overpaid, should take the pay cut, not the working individual who makes sure that overpaid slob gets a paycheck!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;For now the machine &lt;i&gt;has&lt;/i&gt; become so odious, &lt;i&gt;has&lt;/i&gt; made us all sick at heart and we can't even begin to imagine how we have taken part for so long without saying anything to the contrary! We want change? We need to put our bodies upon the gears, upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon the entire apparatus and make it stop! And we'll march to the people run this machine, the owners, the law makers, the selfish and those who have simply lost their way and shout at them that until we're free, their machine will be prevented from working at all!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica;"&gt;We are bigger! It is often very hard to come to grips with this for both Christians and non-Christians. I may have come up with a solution to this dillema with a theory of mine (sorry if this sounds smug; I don't mean it to be and it is also possible I am not the first person to come up with this idea). My theory is this: the father is representative as the mind, the son is representative as the body and the holy spirit is representative as the spirit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Humans are the same way; we are split into three beings: mind, body and spirit. Each serves a different purpose for the whole.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The mind is the decision making entity. It is logical and can come up with solutions to any problem or obstacle encountered. The spirit is the moral entity that advises the mind when something illegitimate surfaces. Often when it comes to the choice between a morally bad action and a morally good action. This causes a lot of stress for individuals and more often than not we choose to follow our minds rather than our spirits.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The most important thing to remember about the spirit is that it is an imprint of God. Therefore it contains all the knowledge of the universe. And yet it remains the most underdeveloped entity in the common individual... But I digress.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The body is not just a shell, it is another separate entity completing the trinity. I can't recall how many times my body has acted out of instinct instead of relying on the mind or spirit to guide it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'll give you an example, as a child I grew up taking martial arts. I was sparring a black belt who prided himself on his agility and crazy attacks and maneuvers. Being slightly overweight and not as agile, I didn't stand a chance. But at one point I sort of blacked out and came back to see he was lying on the ground. Apparently he did a jumping attack and landed on my outstretched fist. I honestly don't remember doing it; it just happened.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That would be a prime example of how the body is a separate entity along with the mind and spirit and also how it has its own thoughts like them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God is one and three, just as we are all one and three. He created us all in His image... meaning an interpretation of His true self in a sensible form. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've never been great at academic writing, so please comment and we can make this a conversation.
